So lets have a quick update on my life, no?

Yesterday (Wednesday) after a long day spent in malls (although I was with Nate, so it was not too bad), my brother randomly asked me if I wanted to go snowboarding with his friend (he’s uninsured to drive right now, it’s kind of pointless to insure him for the 3 weeks he’s at home) and I randomly agreed. This was at about 6pm, and I still had to buy a gift for my dad to give away at his job (you can tell how heartwarming it was), so I rushed out to buy the stuff for a gift basket, came back and put the basket together, threw together a bag, and my brother and I were on our way.

Once on the road, we made pretty good time, we were on our way up the mountain and I’d only been driving for a bit over an hour. Unfortunately my car began to have trouble, and what I have been fearing for months finally happened: my clutch burned out. Basically I could no longer go up the hill, I only rolled backwards. My brother and I were freaking out because we were by a curve in the road, it was dark, and the cars were coming, but thankfully we did not get hit. I was able to back up into a turn out safely, we called AAA, and Daniel’s friend came and waited for us. It sucks because we were only 10 minutes away! Eventually a tow truck came and took my car to a nearby shop, and we went along to my brother’s friend’s house. Crazy times.

We still went snowboarding today, it was pretty fun! I am real sore right now, but it was worth it. Daniel (my brother’s friend… it’s confusing because they’re both named Daniel. We’ll call the friend Danny). Okay so Danny actually works at the ski/snowbaord place, so we were able to get VIP passes and all that stuff, it was pretty cool. Near the end of our time there, a windstorm picked up, and it was a crazy sight! Snowboards flying all over the place, a snow tornado, ski lifts stopped and out of power…

As you can see, this has turned out to be anything but your normal trip.

For some reason though, I am pretty calm about it all. It’s been a real interesting time.

Oh, but did I mention that my car won’t be fixed until Monday? Yeah. Originally we were supposed to come back home tonight, but we’re going to spend the night again and some how get home tomorrow. It’s probably just as well for us to not go home tonight because I am incredibly tired and sore, but it sucks because I had hoped to possibly go to dinner or see Christmas lights tonight with Nate =/ Oh well, those were my corny wishes anyway, Nateley’s probably relieved, haha.

So to recap, I’m safe, I’m sore, I’m thankful, I’m warm, and I owe my parents a lot of money.
